Zanussi is an Italian-based home appliance corporation that came into being back in 1916. Settled in Pordenone, Italy the company is more than 100 years old and offers its appliances to retailers all around the world. What started as a small venture grew a great deal and was bought by Electrolux back in 1984. With the purchase came new grounds as the company started exporting its appliances to the world in 1946.
In 1916 Zanussi was a small workshop owned by Antonio Zanussi, a 26-year old that made his living by making home stoves and wood-burning ovens. Over the passage of years, the company started to grow, especially when it was passed down to his sons Lino and Guido. By creating a strong workforce the boys were able to establish an empire that became a household name in Italy.
