Common error codes on AEG refrigerators can be a cause for concern among users. Issues often denoted by codes like E0, E1 may impact the appliance’s functionality, emphasizing the need for swift resolution.

E0: No error

E1: Evaporator sensor damaged

E2: Room temperature sensor damaged (installed on the display board)

E4: Room temperature sensor damaged (installed on the power board)

E5: 0 degree compartment sensor damaged

Er: http://IM/RAM Error. Check J4-4, J4-5 and J4-6 Connector on Icemaker board. Check J4 connector at Main Control board. Check 15 pin inline connector at control board, Pin#’s 4,9 and 14. If all connections test good, control board.

t3: TH3 Sensor (open or short) Go to flow chart for Ice t3

CE: IM Com Lost Go to flow chart 50C. Put into service mode to verify.

SY-EF: Evaporator Fan Failure

SY-CE: Communication Error

SY-CF: Communication Failure

F7: It might be that the power supply has been interrupted for a period or that the door has been too long or not properly closed

F2: It is possibly a faulty thermostat

Troubleshooting

A malfunction may be caused by only a minor fault that you can rectify yourself using the following instructions. Do not perform any other work on the appliance if the following information does not provide assistance in your specific case.

Interior lighting does not work.Light bulb is defective. Please look in the “Changing the Light Bulb” section.
Heavy build up of frost, possibly also on the door seal.Door seal is not airtight (possibly after reversing the door). Carefully warm the leaking sections of the door seal with a hair dryer (on a cool setting). At the sametime shape the warmed door seal by hand such that it sits correctly.
Unusual noises.Appliance is not level. Readjust the feet.
The appliance is touching the wall or other objects. Move the appliances lightly.
The compressor does not start immediately after changing the temperature setting.This is normal, no error has occurred. The compressor starts after a period of time.
Water in the bottom of the cabinet.Water drain hole is blocked. See the “Cleaning and Care” section.

Breakdown

The warning signals of the control and signalling system of the appliance are displayed on the visual display. The system will give out a signal if:  An error has occurred in the operation of the appliance. In case the electronic system of the appliance cannot identify the real temperature, one of the following signs will appear on the temperature display: Until the product is repaired, the appliance will continue to run on a standby program to protect the food stored within.

Cleaning and Care

For hygienic reasons the appliance interior, including interior accessories, should be cleaned regularly.

  • The appliance must not be connected to the mains during cleaning. Danger of electrical shock. Before cleaning switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the mains, or switch off or disconnect from the electricity supply.
  • Never clean the appliance with a steam cleaner. Moisture could accumulate in electrical components and there is a danger of an electrical shock. Hot vapours can lead to the damage of plastic parts.
  • The appliance must be dry before it is switched back on.
