Roblox is an online gaming creation system and game platform developed by Roblox Corporation. The system is designed in a way that allows users to program games, and play the games they have created – along with games other users have created. Roblox was created by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel in 2004 but was not released until 2006. The platform is designed in a way that it hosts user-created games for a number of genres coded in Lua.
A free-to-play system that has in-game purchases that can be purchased using virtual Roblox currency. Since August 2023 Roblox has had more than 214 million users active on a monthly basis and is growing in numbers as we speak. The system is here to inspire game designers and players in ways that they are unable to imagine.
