Information codes may be displayed to help you better understand what is occurring with your Washer.

The door will not unlock.Make sure the door is firmly closed. Push the Power button to turn off your Washer, then turn it on again. If the code reappears, call for service.
Your washer is not draining. It can also mean that the unit senses a small clog while draining.1) Turn off the unit and turn it on again. 2) Select only the Spin Cycle. 3) Press the Start/Pause to drain the water.
Your Washer has tried to fill but was unsuccessful.Make sure the water faucets are open all the way. Check for kinked hoses. Check the inlet screens on the fill hoses.
Problem with control.Call for service.
A fault is detected in the water level sensor.Call for service.
Jammed Key.Call for service.
• Motor speed sensor problem. • High current detected. • Motor not running properly.Restart the cycle pressing the Start/ Pause Button. If the code reappears, call for service.
Temperature sensor problem.Restart the cycle. If the code reappears, call for service.
High/Low voltage detected.Restart the cycle. If the code reappears, call for service.

Too many suds are detected during the washing session.To prevent it, cut down on detergents.

Error: 1C

Solution: Check the water level sensor

  • Power off and power the machine on after 2-3 minutes, and then try again.
  • Depending on the model, the drain system drains water automatically. The POWER and START/PAUSE buttons may be disabled during this process.

Error: TC2




Solution: Check the temperature sensor on the dry air

  • Power off and power the machine on after 2-3 minutes, and then try again.

Error: DC

Solution: The door is open

  • Close the door and press START/PAUSE to resume operation

Error: DC1

Solution: Check the door switch.

  • Power off and power the machine on after 2-3 minutes, and then try again

Error: LC

Solution: Check for water leaks

  • Power the machine off and check the drain system for any leak. Once the leak is solved, power the machine on after 2-3 minutes.
  • Depending on the model, the drain system drains water automatically. The POWER and START/PAUSE buttons may be disabled during this process

Error: FC

Solution: Check the fan motor

  • Power off and power the machine on after 2-3 minutes, and then try again

Error: 4C

Solution: Check the water supply line




  • Check for the connection of the water line (including water taps).
  • Power off and power the machine on after 2-3 minutes, and then try again.
  • Depending on the model, the drain system drains water automatically. The POWER and START/PAUSE buttons may be disabled during this process

Error: 4C2

Solution: Laundry needs protection because the water being supplied is too hot

  • Make sure the cold and hot water taps are properly connected.
  • Power off and power the machine on after 2-3 minutes, and then try again.

Error: 5C

Solution: Check the drain system.

  • Make sure the drain filter is not clogged.
  • If the drain filter is clogged, clean the filter and restart the machine.

Error: HC

Solution: Check the washing heater.

  • Power off the machine and contact a local Samsung service centre

Error: HC2

Solution: Check the drying heater.

  • Power off and power the machine on after 2-3 minutes, and then try again.

Error: Ub

Solution: Check the spinning process

  • The load may not be balanced inside the drum. Check the drum and make sure the load is balanced.
  • Press START/PAUSE to resume operation, or power off and power the machine on after 2-3 minutes, and then try again

Error: 8C, 8C1, 8C2

Solution: Check the MEMS sensor

  • Power off and power the machine on after 2-3 minutes, and then try again

Error: OC

Solution: Water may overflow

  • Close the water valve and call for service

Error: 3C




Solution: Check the motor

  • Power off and power the machine on after 2-3 minutes, and then try again

Error: AC6

Solution: Check the PBA communication status

  • Power off and power the machine on after 2-3 minutes, and then try again

Error: DDC

Solution: The Add Door is open

  • Close the Add Door and press START/PAUSE to resume operation

Error: DC3

Solution: Check the Add Door

  • Power off and power the machine on after 2-3 minutes, and then try again

Error: UC

Solution: Check the electronic control board

  • Check if power is supplied properly.
  • If the information code continues to appear, call for service.

A low voltage is detected.

  • Check if the power cord is plugged in properly.
  • If the information code continues to appear, call for service

E2Stuck key on control boardTry to free the key by gentle force. If you can't free the key, replace the user interface control board (also called the sub-PCB control board).
lEWater level sensor failureFirst, unplug the washer and check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the main control board.
nFWater fill problemIf the washer takes 40 minutes or more to fill or if the water level doesn't change after six minutes, this code will appear.
LO or FLDoor lock errorOnce the washer cycle is complete if the door fails to unlock after seven tries, you'll get the LO or FL code
dcUnbalanced loadhe dc code means the load has been detected as unbalanced during the final spin.
dsDoor is not lockedIf the washer won't start ds signals that the washer door is open and the lock is malfunctioning.
OEOverflow or too high water levelsA washer that is overfilled is usually caused by water inlet valves that are not shutting off the water flow properly.
nF1Hot and cold water lines are reversedConnect the hot and cold water fill hoses correctly on the back of the washer.
tEWater temperature is either too high or too lowRun the diagnostic test mode to check the water temperature that the control board is sensing. If the actual temperature is significantly different, the temperature sensor or thermistor should be replaced.
LELow water level during cyclesWater level drops can be caused by leaks in the washer tub or an improperly installed drain line which can siphon water out of the washer.
3ENo signal from the drive motor tachometerUnplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections on the drive motor and the electronic control board.
HrHeater relay failureThe heater relay is a component on the Main PCB control board.
2EInternal control board failureUnplug the washer for 5 minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in.
SFMain PCB errorUnplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board.
ndWater will not drainIf the washer fails to drain within 15 minutes, check the washer drain filter and drain hose for a clog or restriction.
Sud (F70)Too many sudsUsing a regular detergent or even too much high-efficiency (HE) detergent will produce excessive suds.
AECommunication error between the Main PCB and Sub PCB in the control panelCheck the wire harness connections between the PCB control boards in the control panel.

  • A-If your washer can’t be supplied water well, “4C” error message is displayed. When the washer displays the “4C” code, the washer do draining for 3 minutes. During this time, the Power button is inoperative.
  • B- Make sure the water taps are open. Make sure the water taps are not frozen. Make sure the washing machine is operating with sufficient water pressure. (Optional) Make sure that the cold water tap and the hot water tap are properly connected.
  • C- Make sure the water hoses are not clogged.
  • D- Clean the mesh filter as it may be clogged.

  • A- If your washer can’t drain well, [5C] error message is displayed.
  • B- Make sure the drain hose is not frozen or clogged. Make sure the drain hose is positioned correctly, depending on the connection type. Make sure the drain hose is straightened all the way to the drain system.
  • C- Clean the debris filter as it may be clogged.

  • When Ub CODE is displayed, most vibration and noise issues are caused by the washing machine is not being level.
  • Please Check the unit to make sure it is properly level.  Never Install your washing machine on a carpet or other soft flooring surface.
  • Please check the washer is not overloaded and redistribute the load if needed.  If the washer is overloaded, remove some laundry.
  • The 4 leveling legs should touch the floor all together.

How do I calibrate my Samsung Washer?

1.Using the Temp. and Delay End (+) buttons

  • Turn the washing machine off and then on again
  • Hold down the Temp. and Delay End (+) buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds
  • Press the Start/Pause button to begin Calibration Mode

2.Through the Settings

  • Tap Settings on your washing machines display
  • Tap Calibration
  • Tap Start
